unmeasured Platform Foundation · Clinical Philosophy

Treat the person.Not the number.

Every recommendation generated by unmeasured passes through a single clinical filter before reaching the patient or provider. That filter asks one question: Does this serve the person's function, recovery, and quality of life?

The Core Filter

Every recommendation earns its place.

Before any recommendation reaches Jessica — or any unmeasured patient — it must clear a two-question filter. This is the architectural foundation of how VERA reasons.

⚖ The unmeasured Clinical Decision Filter
1
Is this recommendation aimed at improving symptoms, function, recovery, or quality of life?
Does it address something the patient can feel, experience, or use? If yes — proceed to evaluation.
2
Or is it merely reacting to a lab value that looks imperfect?
Is the primary driver a number on a panel — rather than a symptom? A "borderline" value in an asymptomatic patient is not automatically an action item.
Platform Principles

Eight commitments that define how unmeasured thinks.

PRINCIPLE 01
Silence is clinical
Not every finding requires a recommendation. The absence of an alert is itself a clinical output.
PRINCIPLE 02
Context is mandatory
A lab value without context is not clinical information. Postpartum, breastfeeding, stress — these change every interpretation.
PRINCIPLE 03
Treat the cause, not the signal
DHEA-S elevated? That's cortisol load. Testosterone low? That's prolactin suppression. Treat what it's reporting.
PRINCIPLE 04
Physiologic states are not pathology
Postpartum adiposity. Lactational suppression. These are features of a healing body — not diagnoses.
PRINCIPLE 05
Function over numbers, always
If a patient feels better — that is the outcome. The lab catching up is downstream confirmation.
PRINCIPLE 06
The trend matters more than the value
TSH 4.32 that just crossed 2.5 is different from TSH 4.32 that's been stable for years.
PRINCIPLE 07
Holistic and functional treatment
Lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, movement, stress are first-line clinical tools — not adjuncts.
PRINCIPLE 08
Safety has absolute priority
Function-first is not function-only. When there's genuine safety concern, it preempts all else.
